Questions

Everything you might ask.

Using Ryn

What is Ryn?

An iPhone app that judges every piece two ways before you buy: how it will fit your body, and whether the fabric and quality are worth the price.

How does Ryn know my size?

You add your measurements once (or take two quick photos for your proportions). Ryn matches them to each store’s own size chart, and reads the reviews for how a piece really runs.

How does Ryn judge fabric and quality?

Ryn reads what the piece is made of and every detail the store gives: fibre content, weight, weave, lining and finish. It tells you how it will wear and feel, what to watch for (pilling, shrinking, sheerness), and whether the price is fair for that quality.

Which stores does it work with?

Most online clothing stores. Ryn reads the store’s own page in the app, including size guides that only open when you tap them.

Is Ryn free?

Yes, Ryn is free while it’s new.

When can I get it?

Ryn is opening to a small group first, then the App Store. Join early access on the home page and we’ll send your invite.

Shopping

Does Ryn sell clothes?

No. Ryn never holds stock or takes your payment. You buy on the store’s own site, as you always would.

How does Ryn make money?

Ryn may earn a commission when you buy through its links. It never changes what Ryn says, and Ryn will tell you to pass on something that won’t work for you.

Will Ryn tell me not to buy something?

Ryn never tells you not to buy what you love. It tells you the size that works, what to watch for, and when there’s a better choice.

Privacy

What happens to my measurements?

They’re used only for your answers, and only you can see them. You can change them or delete your account at any time.

Do you keep my photos?

No. If you choose the photo option, your two photos are read once to see your proportions, then deleted. Ryn never saves them.

Does Ryn use brands’ photos?

Only to show you the piece you’re checking: the store’s own photo, linked from its site, beside Ryn’s answer. Ryn never copies, edits or sells brands’ photos, and never uses them in its own feeds or ads without the brand’s permission. The photos on this website are Ryn’s own.

How do I delete my account?

In the app: your initial, then Account settings, then Delete account. Everything you’ve given Ryn goes with it.
